Well I purchased a this Alocasia Green Unicorn (azlanii x dragon scale) online from Canopy Plant Co. and it arrived sad, dry and with brown/yellow spots all over the leaves… so sad. I’ve watered it and sprayed for pests to see if it can just slightly recover in quarantine then will try the chunky soil mix. Wondering what those spots are?

Help! My Alocasia African Mask definitely has spider mites and she is my favorite plant! What do I do? I just noticed this today and checking the rest of my plants for them.

Question! Is this new leaf ok or does it need assistance? It started to bend today not sure if thats ok and it looks like is still pretty far in there while starting to unfurl…? I have been spraying it with water to help it 🤷🏽‍♂️

I have a silver dragon. Not sure how I keep it alive honestly 😅 seeing every one’s having babies. I’m wondering if mine has any. I’m honestly scared to disturb it just to check. Do you guys think she may have babies? I have had her almost a year! My goodness I didn’t know that I had it that long.

A couple months ago I repotted my alocasia amazonica thinking she wouldn’t grow because the dirt was too heavy, which I was correct in thinking. I pulled off a smaller leaf that had its own root system and it sprouted a second leaf! All 22 corms got moldy while trying to propagate them so I threw all but one of them out. Two months of being in dirt the corm sprouted! Now my parent alocasia has the first leaf sprout it’s ever had in the six months I’ve had her! I’m so excited! 🤩🤩🤩

does anyone have any tips for transferring baby alocasias grown from corms from sphagnum moss to chunky soil? i grew some nairobi nights corms in sphagnum in sealed high humidity environments and they were doing well, then i took them out of these environments to prep for being in ambient and in soil, but they didn’t like that :(

Are these black spots a fungus? Should I cut them all off and let her start fresh? I bought this about 2 weeks ago and repotted it. Leaves were all green and now all but 1 have these spots. Roots look great.

Can someone help me identify what this is first time seeing it. Is it baby’s? I’m guessing a corm but these have no bulb structure and are straight and pointy. Are they corms?

How long does an alocasia bambino take to grow new leaves? Had mine for over a month and it came with an unfurled leaf but nothing after that. I humidify pretty often and it gets pretty bright indirect light.

I found this at one of my local spots. It didn’t come with a type but google is saying alocasia sinuata but the Planta app is saying Dragon scale. Anyone know for sure? The leaf definitely has some texture to it.
