I am in love with my Bisma. Apparently it is loving is new place. A west side window instead of south 😊
My bambino lost all of her leaves and now she’s got some friend on her 🥹
rescued this alocasia polly (it was dark green when i first found it) from my friends front yard. the leaf isn't looking good so i took it from the soil and am just placing it in water for the time being. any tips of what i should do i want it to survive but i have no clue how to take care of it 🥲
Can anyone help identify what these spots mean? This plant is thriving, since i got from my friend i have a fourth leaf growing while hers only has three. But these spots are worrying me. Im new to taking care of plants so this is my baby and i want her to live forever lol.
My very FIRST amazonica leaf!!!!!!!! She’s a lil wrinkly but has been smoothing out and she’s huge, at least second biggest on the plant. 🤩 The other leaves on the plant are yellowing so I was concerned the plant isn’t doing well but she pushed this beauty out after 6+ months of having her. Hoping my other leaves are just fading slowly due to being old but time will tell. This leaf is so healthy looking and I’m very proud. 😁
Hi, I have two alocasia frydeks. Both are sold as half to 3/4 moons. On both the past couple leaves are coming out all white. I know that’s not a great thing. What should I do? I love these little guys.
Corm fun! Anyone know where I can get other varieties?? Or can you list a few for me to look out for!! I love alocasia!!
Has anyone tried to propagate an alocasia dark star, alocasia cuprea, or an alocasia black velvet? If so, how did you do it?
Recently got this beauty, it came in a “self watering” pot. Any thoughts on that? It seems to be enjoying the self watering as of now.
Finally found a Jacklyn yesterday to add to my collection 😍welcome home Jackie 😭😂
I bought this colocasia on my birthday last year. It had three leaves. On my birthday today, I’ve just repotted it into a huge 40cm pot as it was very rootbound. I wonder how big it will have gotten by my birthday next year!
anyone know if this is overwatering or just old leaves aging, or something else?
So I have had 2 Alocasias. I feel like each time I’ve tried to clean their leaves it’s caused absolute DEATH to each one. One was a black velvet and the other is a Melo My insecticidal soap: Bronners soap Alcohol Baking soda Hydrogen peroxide Water Are any of these ingredients the issue?? Obviously each ingredient is in moderation. Mostly water. The amount of soap is what it calls for on the bottle which I think is 1 tbsp/ liter. Either way I followed the bottle. Alcohol is about a splash same with peroxide. Baking soda is 1 tsp. Alocasia pros pls let me know what I’m doing wrong or maybe what you do to clean your leaves. Anything helps.
Newest leaf opened! 🤤
Anyone knows why this Mayan leaf is showing some yellow spots? No bugs to be seen, it just churned out a beautiful new leaf and no webbings too. I also have no idea what’s going on with my brancifolia in the other pic, one leaf is looking amazing and the other leaf is getting droopier by the day.
Someone I know went on a shopping spree 🫣 I swear it wasn’t me! (The dirty leaves have since been cleaned)
I just brought this Alocasia home from the store yesterday. Is there something I should do to help with the transition? I’m completely new to this! Thank you :)
