Doing my first bulbil prop! Of my mythic alocasia when I got her I noticed all the bulbs at her base so I immediately ran an got another. I did do some research but any tips would be greatly appreciated Using prop drops in one cup and none in another Also putting my foot in the door of propping cause I’m on a plant buying ban

I think my Maharani is dying!! I got it as a plug from orange lake nursery. I’m not sure why it’s reverted! The first pic is when I first potted it up, the second is now. Any suggestions? 🙏🏽

Just checking on the not so baby babies and noticing some weird things!! First I’d like to ask… why do those have warts growing where the sinus is. 🤣 cute and makes them unique but just curious! Checking out the beautiful silver dragon and spotted a sport variegation spot!?! It’s not damage! 😍 the other pics are just updates! Since my last post about moving them up ! And my quilted dream popped a leaf 🥹

Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with my alocasia polly? Today I noticed that she had developed some yellowing of the leaf tips and possible edema along the veins. Is this likely to be a pest or maybe overwatering? She was in a window receiving indirect sun, but I have moved her into the bathroom under a grow light to isolate. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hello all! I brought home this pretty lady about two weeks ago. She’s still in her nursery pot for now but I’d like to get her into a bigger pot soon to sustain her long term. She’s a couple feet away from a south facing glass sliding door, so she gets quite a bit of sun (though I live in rainy Seattle so sun is a loose term here). Any recommendations for potting substrate and timeline for repotting? I have pretty much only had plants in standard potting mix before, and I know Alocasias can be finicky, so I’m trying to give her my very best. Also, when would be a good time to repot? She doesn’t seem obviously root bound from what I can see, but this nursery pot is definitely on the smaller side for a plant this big in my opinions. One last thing: She has a small, sad looking droopy leaf. Anything I can do to save it? She’s also put out another leaf that is unfurling at the moment.

I brought this home 3 weeks ago. As of today, there is a brand new leaf that seems to be really happy, but two of the original leaves are super sad. I have not repotted it — it came in the same pots as pictured. I placed it next to the window for good photo light, but since bringing it home it’s sat on a shelf ~ 10 feet away from a window. Help! What am I doing wrong?

My Alocasia corner ☺️ it took me a while to get into these because of how picky they are. Once you master them there’s no turning back though lol

My monster Alocasia After 2 years I finally got this girl to hold onto 3 leaves at a time and that’s where I’ve been for awhile. Until recently and now I’ve awaken a beast! I’m on my 3rd new leaf in 4 weeks. The first one is 29 inches long and 23 inches wide, the second to come in is 33 inches long and 23 inches wide. As you can see the 3rd is currently unfurling!

Hi friends, I’m new to the Alocasia Polly and I was wondering what’s going on with it. I suspect spider mites but I’ve also never had pests before. Some of these white spots look more like pieces of a paper towel left behind from when I rubbed the leaves with watered down neem oil, but I’m not sure. The hole was there when I got the plant. The leaf in the background to the left is curled up on one side and I found a web in it. I removed the web, soaked the plant, rubbed neem oil on all the leaves, and quarantined it away from my plants outside. I live in Maryland, US (including for weather purposes). This is one of my bucket list plants and I’m so scared of losing it! What’s going on? How do I fix it? Thank you! Gray

Help! Is this damage from misting and water retention? Humidity around 60%. There is a fan for the plant as well. She’s grown a large leaf in the past 2 weeks and has a shoot for a new one

I originally had a Alocasia Polly and transferred it over to LECA after it had been struggling. I wanted to get rid of the massive bag of LECA and decided to go big or go home. That was a while ago and after losing multiple leaves while transitioning in water, this massive plant has done well since I actually put it into the semi hydro setup. I was checking today and I’m getting my first new leaf!

Hello everyone, I found corms on my Alocasia Jacklyn which is completely new to me. Any advice or tips here? Just want to make sure I'm doing this right 😊 I have them in these tiny plastic cups with 2-3 corms each. Half are in sphagnum moss and the other half are in perlite. They're currently in a South facing window that does get some direct sunlight throughout the day

Just upsized her to a 05” from a 04” & that new leaf looks like it’s gonna be a juicy one! 🤩
