Some of my favorite Alocasia leaves currently!
I love my Alocasias✨️
Hi! I got my first Alocasia two weeks ago. I can see that she is getting ready to produce a new leaf and I'm noticing that the oldest one is starting to turn yellow and droop. I've heard that alocasias can do this when a new leaf is emerging. Is this something that is always going to happen, or is there a way to help her get fuller?
My first venture into alocasia! A. Polly and A. Melo
This newest leaf is just over 17"; wowza! She has been growing so much lately with each leaf just getting bigger and bigger. #HappyPlant #HappyPlantDad
Flowers?
Check out the growth on my silver dragon producing 2 “flowers” over the summer. Growing in pon on a plant wall I have a number of corms from this mother also doing well - let’s hope they hold out during the winter!
Why are so many leaves dropping on my new frydek? Help please!
Hi Thanks to this app and this community I was able to start to grow my Alocasia Amazonica corms. Now after long months of waiting and experimenting they are finally here. What should I do now that I have mini Alocasia’s coming up?? I don’t really want to mess it up???? There’s 4 of them (one is still has not come up)
Pray for this baby who I just moved to pon. She’s been isolating for a month. Her roots looked GREAT! I’m a little worried she’s getting too much light (a little lightening near the edges) BUT also seems to reach toward the light. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Any particular reason why my alocasiaS are drooping?
We have a flower! 🥰 Alocacia Silver Dragon
my half and half is glistening, alocasia frydek my beloved. Grew a new leaf as soon as I fed it and gave it a window view ✨
Omg this guy is killing me! For the 2nd time I’ve found thrips . I first got it as a tiny starter then noticed the leaves getting droopy & yellow & after looking at it noticed little guys walking around . I treated it got rid of them & hadn’t found any on any other plants . That was last winter. Today I look at it & see yellow & other spots so put it up to a grow light & omg there they are ! It’s been growing looking good growing new leaves so hadn’t thought much about it . I cut off the janky leaves & soaked it in a Castile soap alcohol & peroxide mix ( liquiddirt recipe it’s actually supposed to be a spray 😕) & visually they are gone at least for now.I’m not worried about soil issues because I have had it in Pon since I got it . It seems like it’s only this plant wth is it with this freaking plant ? Don’t get me wrong I’m glad I haven’t found it spreading but omg !
I was so exited when this leaf came out it’s the biggest one so far . I got this plant a few months ago with the plant healthy but the leaves being deformed . It’s perfect! 😍 I thought I’d post a pic of my new cuprea leaf as well . The coloring is a little off because of the lighting rt now but look how shiny 🥹
Do we think it heard me talking smack 🤭🤭🌱
😍
I just wanted to brag on this plant. I got it in July where I’ve actually neglected it a bit, but it has thrived and given me such massive leaves and so much new growth. It had one leaf and one that was starting to unfurl when I got it and it has just done incredible. It’s given me 5 new leaves and that is absolutely massive since July. New pictures were taken today and hand picture for size reference.
My black velvet is doing everything but maintaining its leaves 🙄🙄 corm central meanwhile it has one leaf
