My silver dragon is very happy and pushing a new leaf. She’s got roots coming from the pot - do I repot or just try to take her out of the pot and place the roots back in? I feel like she’s got more room in the pot for roots.

I need some advice for my Tiny Dancer. She went through a time where she was down to just about 2 healthy leaves. I repotted with better soil (chunky mix), and checked the roots. She perked up a bit and I was starting to have 5-6 healthy leaves at a time. Recently she’s starting to lose more leaves than she’s gaining again. I have her under a grow light (not much natural light in my house) set at 12 hr/day, wait till she’s pretty dry on top to water, and use liquid fertilizer as recommended on Planta. Any advice? Pictures of the current leaves and a couple I pruned off today.

Kitchen hack!!! Decided to use a cake display dome for my baby Alocasia Korms and it works like a charm! Keeps the humidity in. I remove the top occasionally and use a paper towel to crack the space to let some air in!

I found 9 Maharani corms when repotting. I am completely new to this and idk if I did this right. Now I keep checking them every hour expecting growth 😅. Some videos I’ve watched say it may take months?…… original post in August, update as of today October 24th attached!!!

Just wanna share my excitement that not just one, or even two, but THREE of my alocasia’s are pushing out new growth. First two are my rescue ones (Silver Dragon & Cuprea) and the third is my sweet baby princess (Black Velvet) the very first Alocasia and first plant I brought home. This will be her 12th leaf!!!!! The most leaves I’ve ever had at one time. I am just so proud 🥹 🤗

Can anyone ID this alocasia? It's not labelled. I tried reverse image searching and most of the results were black velvet, but I'm not sure if it's dark enough to be that?

This is the third iteration of this Mask Plant! Got it a couple years ago from a grocery store and it had one little dying leaf. One day that leaf dropped off and I was just getting ready to reuse the pot when I noticed a little plantlet sticking out of the soil. It then thrived for 2 years before getting pests, then blooming, then all the leaves fell off again. Just as I was throwing in the towel one more time, I notice another little plantlet poking out. Now it’s got an open leaf and starts its third life!
