Hey! I attempted to propagate corms and seem to be having some success. Would you say it’s time to plant the ones with roots? I’ve got a few 2 inch nursery pots I can put them in. Would that be the right size to start?

Okay …. Can these live? … alocasia frydek she was big and dying I took her apart and she has some propagations that are doing better in pon… the little one came off the big one and I don’t know if she’ll live???? Big one has some issues I didn’t have enough pon to transfer her too so I used leca and she started getting root rot this is what’s left of her … will she live??? I’m currently letting her soak in water with a cap full of hydrogen peroxide.. I saw I can do perlite and they like perlite but she has such little roots left… I did find corms .. please help!!!

cannot stop thinking about this alocasia I saw at a local plant nursery…I almost took her home but felt like she could smell my fear…should I go back and get her this weekend? I have never had an alocasia and they seem difficult!

The only Alocasia I’ve managed to keep alive and getting new growth… and I dropped it on its head & cracked it when I first got it and held the wounds together with orchid clips… trauma gives strength I guess ! 🤣🤣 (you can totally see her scars too lmaoo)

Need advice on growing corms!! What’s your preferred medium? Grow light or no grow light? Heat pad or no heat pad? Seedling tray or a plain plastic container? I want allll the tips and tricks. TYIA!

I saved this little guy from my first alocasia that I had that sadly died because I didn’t know how to take care of it properly but since become obsessed with them and have read up a ton on them and now own like 5 different varieties. For the life of me I cannot remember what kind this one is called and the app thinks it’s a rubber plant. If anyone can help me figure out what it is would be greatly appreciated!

These are photos of my Alocasia odora x Alocasia ‘Amazonica’ (Mayan Mask). She is in the 4 inch nursery pot that she came to me in. As she dries out, she’s quite top heavy and if touched would fall over. I’ve showed you the root system. The bottom half of soil is tightly packed, even when dry. Is it time to repot to a 6 inch pot? She has 4 leaves. One is droopy since her last new leaf🤷‍♀️

Hello alocasia lovers!! I need help!! I bought this alocaisa thinking it was a silver dragon, but the more it grows the more confused I get! It’s like it has traits from multiple alocasia but doesn’t quite fit any single variety. The V-shape at the tip, the silverish tone, and the deep venation are all pointing toward a hybrid, possibly between a Silver Dragon and something else?

Help! Alocasia #3 getting ready to die!! Planted in Leca- cleaned off roots really well. Was doing great and then leaves started to curl under? In a clear pot and I cam see the roots are white and healthy looking. I keep a saucer under it with some water in it so touching leca but not the roots. Bad sun in my house *sadly but I have good quality grow lights- pretty good quality anyway. Have a lot of other plants and manage to get them to thrive but not these darn Alocasia! House is in the 60's, plant is near a humidifier. My last ones I have placed in other areas and I just cannot seem to keep them alive longer than a couple of months?? Any suggestions? LOVE this little gal and I don't want to lose another one. I am determined but feeling unqualified! Thanks!

Alocasia stingray - The roots have started to get crazy at the bottom so I am planning to move her to the larger pot. Do you think she could wait a little longer or would you go ahead and repot up to the container in the pic?

Am I supposed to put my dragon scale and my other one on a pole or trellis like the monsteras? The dragon scale especially doesn't really seem to grow too much although I'm reading the comments on the soil and I definitely think I only have potting soil in my plants for the most part so I'll be switching that out the spring 😩
