Hi! I got a few small alocasias in February that I’m a little worried about, i originally kept all of them in my indoor greenhouse but it seemed like a few of them didn’t appreciate it (I wasn’t sure if it was the humidity, sun intensity, or my watering schedule) either way I took them out and out them with my main group of plants (I believe the window they are in is east/ southeast) I water them about once a week (I let the water run through the bottom and put them back) and keep my greenhouse pretty humid during the day (I let it air out at night as i haven’t gotten around to ordering any fans for it) but now that they aren’t in there the humidity is definitely less. I have a few older ones that are doing fine in my greenhouse and even one of the baby’s is still in there doing well though so I’m just a little confused. Do you all have any advice for these specific ones as they are doing the worst out of my collection. (Also sorry for the long paragraph I have a hard time deciding what’s important and what’s not lol) Thank you in advance!

Progress Update! :D Months ago I had posted here seeking advice about my alocasia frydek that had started drooping dramatically because I moved it a foot. After a long struggle of it completely dying back, it has been a slow journey growing back, and it's finally back to three leaves lmao (ignore the crispy little calathea, we don't talk about her)

I have my 1 year old elephant ear, whom I have a love-hate relationship with. I’ve grown her from a bulb and had a maximum of three leaves at a time on her. Right now I’m down to one, the newest, and I just noticed that there is a mushroom that’s sprouted in her pot. The naturalist in me says leave it- let’s see what else happens in this mini ecosystem. But I’m concerned I’d be letting it take nutrients from the plant in such a small setting. Any thoughts?

Any tips/ how you would grow this colocasia corm? I’ve tried pon, perlite, soil, sohagnum moss in the past and they’ve always ended up rotting.

Hi all 😊, I hope everyone is having a great day. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is fungal? I've tried everything else and it doesn't seem to be going away and I've heard that having a yellow outline to it could possibly be fungal. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I just got this guy a week ago at Whole Foods for 19.99. He had been recently watered and dirt was damp for several days… Yesterday morning he had these 2 yellowing leaves and another one that wasn’t very yellow fell down and broke off today- there’s a new leaf coming up where it was but it was not an old leaf so I’m concerned. We’ve had a crazy hot week and humidity in my house keeps dropping to 30s (I bought a humidifier this week to help mitigate.) none of my other alocasias have reacted same way but none of them are big guys like this. It is possible the dirt was totally dry for half a day - I have had tendency to over water my alocasias so I was trying to not do that but this week has been so hot 🥵 and dry and maybe I overcorrected? Any suggestions to help him through this stressful transition? TIA

I bought this beautiful girl today and I was wondering if anyone thought she might need to be staked for support or if I should just leave her? The 4 big top leaves are doing great but there’s two at the bottom that are looking a little droopy.

Help needed! I didn’t see anything quite like this already in the group… I’m wondering what caused this in my Alocasia Polly? Some yellowing spots at the leaf edges, including a yellow-lined spot. It’s only just started recently. I’d be really surprised if it is overwatered because if anything I water too inconsistently/not enough. Humidity has been in the low 30s over the winter. There’s a good amount of indirect light here. Thanks in advance!
