If I have a mature Alocasia, that is now in old potting soil, when I re-pot her, is the best medium simply LECA? Will she turn her toes up when I switch her to a medium that is so different from what she has been used to? 😊💚🪴

Look at my little black stem that I’ve grown from a bulbi! She just kicked out her second leaf and I spy a third just starting to form. She comes from a variegated momma and I’m hoping someday she might surprise me as well!

hey peeps! i think have some base rot on my alocasia dragon scale but i’m not sure and i don’t know what to do! recently i repotted into a chunkier combo of orchid mix and potting soil, before it was in way too dense of a soil. ever since i got it i’ve slowly lost every single leaf (i just lopped off the last one last night) and i think the base has been rotting. i’ve been really careful not to overwater.

Can some one tell me which Alocasia this is ? I know there are several with similar patterns & shapes & I’m having a hard time figuring it out . It wasn’t marked when I got it . BTW my first new leaf this spring it’s been a while since it’s given me one . So shiny 😀

I got this bambino not even 4 days ago and he is rapidly declining! This happened with another alocasia polly that I got. It’s like as soon as they enter my home they hit an immediate downward spiral. I try to hold off on immediately repotting so they have time to adjust, but maybe I should be repotting?

ive got my first corm from my beloved black velvet alocasia, should i pluck it off when its bigger too grow it or can they just grow on their own in the soil attached too the mother?
