Hey guys Where am I going wrong to cause my Alocasia Zebrina leaves to curl at the tips? Many thanks xxx
My polly had massive root rot and I didnāt know so I have put her in Leca (heard they love it) and I want to make sure I have done it right she has next to no roots so hoping she will bounce back and get beautiful water roots the white line is where the water is
recently got this silver dragon and she seems happy, except her new growth appears to be struggling. itās turned yellow and slightly crispy at the top. but the rest of her looks healthy? i did repot her a week ago or so, so maybe sheās in a bit of shock? would love opinions/tips :)
We are new to the group. Just wanted to share a few of our Alocasia plants. We have an Alocasia Amazonica Poly, Alocasia Tigrina Superba and our a Alocasia Tiny Dancer..
This Alocasia Dragon Scale is my first plant requiring lots of specialized care and Iām worried Iāve killed it. The info: itās in an east facing window supplemented with a grow light, temperature kept between 20-23 C. I watered and fertilized yesterday (after 9 days of no water and the top two inches of soil completely dry, fertilized with half strength marphyl) and overnight the leaves have turned spotty yellow and drooped dramatically. Would love advice on how to keep this baby alive! I think I see signs of rot at the base. I appreciate any help you may have for me!
Hey all - Iām currently trying to plan my repotting plan. I have two different Alocasias which act like alocasias! š¬š©š¤£ Online Iāve been seeing a lot of people with their Alocasias in leca. Thoughts on transferring them to this medium which I have ZERO experience with?
Hi all. I just saved this baby from my local supermarket. Any idea on how I can get it back to good health? The roots look good to me. Should I repot to something more airy?
First plant to be put outside instantly got new growthā¼ļøš next is the Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum(š¤š½hope its survives)
Hello everyone ! I was just wondering if any of you have had success with pon & self watering pots? Iāve moved pretty much all my Alocasia to pon & they donāt seem to be doing well . I have my black velvet that loves it & my red secret so far. Iāve lost 2 plants. Iām debating on switching back to soil but I donāt know if they are trying to adjust or if I should get them out . Itās mostly the leaves turning yellow until thereās nothing left. Itās been about 2 months maybe .
I ran out of perlite so I put these babies in water about a month and a half ago ..here's how they're looking what should I do with them at this point ?š±
Can anyone help me figure out whatās wrong with my bby she was so pretty even grew a new leaf but it didnāt end up making it. It was in a bigger pot because it had bigger roots at first (Iāve had this for over a year) never had problems but when I went to give it a more airy soil bc it wasnāt drying out (the soil) it stayed wet for more then a week it didnāt have much roots anymore could that be why?
Iām not 100% sure but yall I think thatās a new shoot on my baby Scarlett. Iām pretty sure I have chopped and leaf or two and itās tryna shoot out maybe two new leaves will be keeping a very close eye on her!šļø šļø
I bought some black elephant ear bulbs at Walmart today and when I opened them they donāt seem right. They are kinda crunchy and dry looking and Iām not sure if thatās mold growing on them or not. Iāve never dealt with bulbs before so I have no idea if this is normal for them or not?
Any idea why this newest leaf is yellowish/green? Iāve had this plant for several months and it seems generally happy and is even growing another leaf. The pot has drainage and I water when the soil is dry or mostly dry. Humidity is usually about 50-60%.
My baby produced itās very first leaf. So exciting.
Any idea why my alocasia babies have sticky, wet leaves than donāt unfurl and get damaged? Happening to all my babies at the moment.
HELP!! how do i help her ?? Itās a Alocasia Mickey Mouse..
Any help? I was given this plant and Iām not sure itās healthy!
So these are my first two alocasias - Silver dragon and Reginae - and each has one leaf that is bending/folding the āwrong wayā⦠I think? Is this normal for them to do this? Both plants seem to be happy and healthy (minus a couple little places on the tips of the leaves), but if they shouldnāt be doing this, what do I do to help correct it?
