Rescued these from a clearance section yesterday not knowing anything about them. Should the stems be so tall as you can see one is bending over quite badly. Should I repot or let them get used to the new place first? Do pebble trays work or do I need a humidifier? Any advice appreciated!
Alocasia Zebrina. They do have tall petioles but they seem very tall. Might be elongated and need more light than it was getting. It also is not one of the easiest of the Alocasia genius.

0개 좋아요 It’s the most dramatic of Alocasia plants I’ve grown. Maybe because it was early on in my plant parenthood. I have never tried growing it since. I must have close to a dozen others.

Score!! I’d re-pot them. Make sure to use an aroid soil. I use a humidifier.
좋아요 1개 Thanks for the advice, humidifier ordered. So maybe not such a bargain after all but it’s a good excuse to buy more plants to get my money’s worth out of the humidifier 😆 I guess that’s why it’s classed as a hard plant to look after then.

Can you attach them to a stake to give them some support??
