Help! My dragon scale seemed perfectly fine earlier, but when I got home from work I noticed that this leaf had completely flopped over. The stem is still firm and it shouldn’t be a watering issue, but I don’t know if it has something to do with the new growth or what.

    I find most of my alocasias only like having 2 leaves at a time lol, one sprouts, one dies. Other then that all I can recommend is giving her some extra humidity :)

      That happened to mine for a long time, she finally kept a 3rd leaf and gave me 2 blooms

    I ended up changing all of my alocasias to pon (semi-hydro) because that’s the only way I can keep them happy and keep them from dropping leaves constantly. Their roots need constant access to both oxygen and water. I’ve also heard people have luck keeping them in a self-watering planter, in very chunky soil. But I haven’t tried that personally.

    Does your container have drainage holes? When mine were that size they would get overwatered very easily. Let the soil dry out or increase the sunlight would be my recommendation.

      It does! I’m considering changing the soil/medium soon, but for now I just put it in a brighter spot. Fingers crossed!

    Light, in my experience they will move their leaves to follow light. They require a bit more light than we think, “indirect bright” is so vague 😂

      So true lol, I used to think every room in my apartment was so bright until I started growing plants😂
