My Alocasia keeps having leaves turn yellowish green/ brown. I have been removing the leaves when this happens. Any advice on how to keep them green and more healthy? It has a new leaf coming in though…it’s by a window too. Soil is same as it was from local store and never repotted.

좋아요 1개Hmm well it’s good to know I’m not alone. I think it could be the watering for me or humidity. I might be letting it dry out too much in between waterings. Thanks for replying this was my very first post!! 😁

They do not like getting completely dry and from the way it looks as though the dirt is pulling away from the inside of the pot you possibly might've been letting it get too dry. Putting it in a grouping with other plants helps with the humidity.

0개 좋아요 I have mine with a couple of Shefflera, a Monstera adansonii, and an angel wing. So pretty much anything that likes humidity.😁

I let mine dry out quite a bit but yours looks very dry as someone mentioned. Problem now may be the soil is so dry it will repel water. May need to try bottom watering for an extended session making sure all the soil is moist.
