Does anyone have a tried-and-true soil recipe for alocasias? So far I’ve used a potting soil with extra perlite added but I’m considering trying something new, maybe with orchid bark (?). Thanks in advance!

This is my mix, it includes fox farms soil, perlite, horticultural charcoal, coco chips/coir and orchid bark. I do equal parts (one scoop) of each except for the charcoal, I only add half a scoop.

I use fox farm too. It’s the best!😄

A woman I watch on YouTube has a lot of hers in semi-hydro! I want to try this with mine! She uses Leca, Perlite or Pon with a little water reservoir on the bottom. But if trying it make sure to fertilize as they won’t get any nutrients from those substrates! The Jungle Haven if you wanted to check it out! Good luck either way!
