Hello alocasia lovers!! I need help!! I bought this alocaisa thinking it was a silver dragon, but the more it grows the more confused I get! It’s like it has traits from multiple alocasia but doesn’t quite fit any single variety. The V-shape at the tip, the silverish tone, and the deep venation are all pointing toward a hybrid, possibly between a Silver Dragon and something else?
The closest I can find is an Alocasia Bisma of some type. This is super interesting for me bc I LOVE alocasias. Everything that I used to ID it said Syngonium but it’s just not
That’s closer than I’ve gotten on my own haha it’s been a fun mystery to try and solve but that looks suuuper similar to my baby! I have over 15 different alocaisa and another 10 corms I’m sprouting and this one is the only one I can’t fully confirm! But this is certainly the closest I’ve gotten so far! Thank you 💚
0개 좋아요 There seems to be variations of the Bisma so it is possible that it’s a hybrid. I wish they had DNA tests for plants😭 I’ll be moving in the next year (potentially across the country) otherwise I would have a VERY large alocasia collection🤭
