Hello! I need some help with identifying what kind of alocasia this guy is. Planta says black velvet and Gemini says Melo. Which is he? Or perhaps neither?

    alocasia melo or dragon scale, the picture is a bit blurred though

      Added better photos and I do believe it’s a Melo. He was a clearance save with only a price tag.

    I believe you have a dragon scale. The melo has a rough, highly rigid texture vs the dragon scale has a smoother, more raised ,glossy and leathery scale pattern. Below is my silver dragon scale top, black velvet lower left and melo lower right. Definitely a beautiful plant, especially on clearance 🙂
