Does anyone know what is causing these brown tips? I don’t think it’s a humidity thing. They’re not dry and the plant is right next to a humidifier. It’s planted in leca and I water it with purived plant food.

    Oh I should add it’s in a north facing window under a grow light

    that looks like overwatering damage. or maybe it got cold or burnt if the light or sun is too close. or too many nutrients. but most likely overwatering if there isn’t a drainage hole.

      Hmmm ok. There isn’t drainage, it’s in leca and I only put like an inch of water in it when I water.

      i’m not too familiar with having plants in leca so i don’t know for sure. it really could be anything. alocasias are so finicky. did you repot it recently? it could be stress as well. i would just keep an eye on it and see if it spreads. sorry i wish i could be more help!

      I transferred all my Alocasias to leca last year. I think you might need more than an inch of water. I do 1/3 leca on the bottom, the the plant/roots, then fill the rest with leca. The water should reach just below where the roots are. They’ll eventually sprout water roots, then you won’t have to worry about them touching water.

      Yeah this is how I pot mine in leca too 😊

      I put it in leca about 9 months ago when I bought it but other than that I haven’t repotted it
