    I’ve had several alocasias and never had spider mites. I still don’t understand why some people are having that problem.

      My favorite local nursery’s alocasias are ALL infested with spider mites. It’s so crazy! I don’t understand it.

    I have converted all of my alocasias to semi-hydro & they are SO much happier in that setup. I use LECA for bigger, more mature plants, and PON for the smaller guys. I keep the reservoir full with nutrients, I keep them near a humidifier & under grow lights. They all really seem to thrive & explode with growth under these conditions.
