Hi people you may have seen me post about my pink dragon last week or so, it was treated with a. Fungicide and got rid of the spots on the new leaf, it’s been fine up until now and I’ve checked this morning, what on earth has happened, it has been near a heater (not too close) as it was attempting to unfurl a leaf and looked stuck, not sure if it’s burnt but that one black part just fell apart and it’s obviously yellowing. Since i bought it it’s been treated, cleaned, and repotted into new soil, any idea anyone?

    I would cut that leaf off. So it doesn't further infect the plant . Make sure to sterilize the shears

    honestly, alocasia are so finicky. it’s best to not stress out about every single leaf. if a leaf goes bad, just cut it off and let it focus on new growth. doing too much will stress it out. just let it be as if it were trying to figure it out on its own in nature. they don’t always need so much assistance from us, that can make it worse sometimes if that makes sense (: i have an alocasia that loves its life, and then randomly will decide to be a corm again. especially this time of year. they’re not meant to be constantly growing naturally, so this will kind of happen on its own. there’s also always an adjustment period for it to get used to your environment after you bring it home. don’t stress yourself over it, i’m sure you’re doing everything right (:

      I LOVE your answer. It was very kind and refreshing to be reminded that we can let Nature takes it's course when we've done everything we can. I know I'm late to this post, but it was very very nice to read. I'll be screenshoting it and taping it near my plants. You are awesome and thank you for the lovely advice.

      wow this was so uplifting to read. thank you so much (: i’m late to seeing this but it really made my day. you are so sweet. i always try to recommend letting nature take its course, they tend to figure out how to adjust in my experience! thank you again for the kind words (:

    Plants reflect the changes in its environment. Fall/Winter causes a lot of stress unless they are in climate controlled plant cabinets. Light and temperature decreases near windows. Forced air heaters can dry and overheat them. Plus, the growing season ends causing plants to need less fertilizer and water. I just let mine roll with the punches when the temperature drops and I bring them back inside. They lose several leaves. But, they come back bigger and better in spring. 🍀🪴
