Why are so many leaves dropping on my new frydek? Help please!

    How’s the watering level? I water mine once when the top level of the soil is dry

      I just got it and watered it so if is moist. Waiting to re water once top soil is dry. And I placed a grow light near it

    It's an Alocasia thing I think. Lol. My Micholitziana did the same exact thing when I brought it home and have seen countless posts of others doing the same when they are first brought home. Just make sure it is in super bright indirect light (does great with some direct morning or late afternoon sun though). I let all of my plants in soil dry out before watering again and even my plants in pon I let the reservoirs dry out time to time. They are always hungry too; Be sure to keep up with fertilizing.

    Re-potting an alocasia right after buying one can sometimes cause it to droop. I had repotted my silver dragon right after I bought it. I did not check the roots before doing so, and when I checked they were very short. I put it back into its nursery pot because the pot was also too big. With time my alocasia has been doing so much better and is not droopy!
