My red secret loves me too much! How do I get her to stop flowering? 😩 She flowers for me all the time and takes so long to push them out! I don’t get new leaves I just get flowers now!

    Are you in the UK? Is this placed in a bathroom? Do you have the blinds closed or open most of the time? Just wondering about all the 'things'. If a plant flowers, it tends to suggest it's in 'survival mode'. 'need to flower as I might die soon so populate' kinda vibe 👌🏼✌🏼 Just think, it's not happy......

    I live in California. Placed in living room right next to an east facing window with blinds open daily with grow light 12 hrs. She hasn’t been losing leaves or showing any signs of stress to suggest these flower are “stress blooms”. Just the same 2 leaves, note 3 flower with this set of leaves.

    Your cuprea looks good. They do like to be slightly rootbound, that pot might be a little big. Mine just gave me 7 flowers in a row,and currently 2 new leafs. That cycle has been going on for almost 2 years, I wouldn't worry too much. I got mine as a tiny plug close to 2 years ago and she is quite large now. Looking at your profile, it looks like you've had her for about a month if that's correct, just give it some time. She'll come around, they're not the fastest growing alos, and the flowers take forever. Lol.

    I have had her for 2 years +. Just joined this app not too long ago. She has large roots system hence the size of the pot. I hate cutting back roots. So nice to hear mine is not the only flowering crazy mama!

      Oh ok, that makes sense why it shows a month. I wouldn't cute the roots on this one either, they don't like to be messed with too much. The constant flowering is kinda of annoying 🙄, I tried cutting them off, which didn't hurt the plant, but she just continued on with more flowers. Now I just ignore it and wait until she's done. I do have mine in Semi-Hydro, she didn't do well in soil for me. I do suggest watching the Sydney plant guy on YouTube, very in depth video on cuprea. Unfortunately it won't let me add the link, but I definitely recommend checking it out.
