Picked this beauty (in the front) up off the Lowe’s discount rack today. Can’t figure out which variety it is! The tag said it’s an elephant ear, but after looking at photos, nothing really matches. Thanks in advance!

0件のいいねIt does look a lot like that plant! Curious why the store would label it as an alocasia? Is it a similar subspecies? Thank you for your help, I would’ve never figured it out
0件のいいねI love this game. Let’s learn together hahah. Here’s what I found. “Elephant ears” is the common name for a group of tropical perennial plants grown for their large, heart-shaped leaves. Most of these herbaceous species in the arum or aroid family (Araceae) that are offered as ornamentals belong to the genera Colocasia, Alocasia, and Xanthosoma, although there are others that have similar appearance and growth habits. The first two genera are native to tropical southern Asia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Guinea, parts of Australia, or the Pacific Islands, while Xanthosoma is native to tropical America. Found this pic too
