My polly had massive root rot and I didn’t know so I have put her in Leca (heard they love it) and I want to make sure I have done it right she has next to no roots so hoping she will bounce back and get beautiful water roots the white line is where the water is

Following! I have a Pink Dragon that is looking very unhealthy and I want to try saving her by putting her in Leca. I’ve never used it before and received it yesterday from Amazon. I’ve been researching like crazy but honestly have no idea what I’m doing and feel overwhelmed and intimidated by it!! 😩

Alocasia are one of the most popular and difficult plants. They love humidity so try to provide extra. Their roots are very sensitive but like most plants they thrive in water. I would recommend a hydroponic fertilizer but other than that it should be fairly simple. The challenge is getting plants back into soil after.

I completely removed the roots on my alocasia about a month ago and placed them in leca. They’re doing quite well now.

I tried one in leca and two in just water so I could see the roots develop. Didn’t really notice a difference in root growth.
