I’ve had this baby for almost a week now, just wondering if I should repot soon ? Also she sits in my bathroom is that ok ? First time having an alocasia tia 😇

    She’s beautiful! It’s up to you if you want to repot or not. I usually do, just so I can check out the roots and so I can use a soil mix that I’m already familiar with. Alocasias like a chunkier mix. If you find corms (they look like small bulbs), keep them! Yes the bathroom is fine as long as she’s getting enough light 🌱

    Awesome thank you ! 😇 I got her for a steal ! I had to have her. I’ll be on the look out for any babies 😁 she has pretty good light in there and I pull back the curtain so she gets as much as the bathroom gives. Is a tropical and orchid bark mix ok ?

      Also would you recommend keeping it in the nursery pot in the decorative pot or just plant straight in the decorative ?

      Yes, that soil mix sounds good. I use roughly half orchid bark for mine Any pot that has a lot of drainage would be good. A lot of decorative pots just have 1 hole in the bottom, so I keep mine in nursery pots

      Yesss it only has 1 hole is a 5’ pot. I’ll put a bit of half n half then 😇
