I think my Maharani is dying!! I got it as a plug from orange lake nursery. I’m not sure why it’s reverted! The first pic is when I first potted it up, the second is now. Any suggestions? 🙏🏽

    I’m assuming there is no cloth or basket around the roots since you got it as a plug and repotted. Those killer nursery contraptions would be my first guess. One cause of it going limp could be the potting mix completely drying out. Alocasias go limp if this happens. They like the soil evenly most and like to be watered when only the top 2 inches of soil dries out, from my experience. The potting mix may lack sufficient organic matter like peat moss that provides nutrients. The coco chunks/perlite should balance the peat.

      I pulled it out and most of the roots had gone limp and came off. I repotted with some added coco coir pith to hold moisture. Hopefully it doesn’t die like the others did lol!
