Help!! I don’t know what to do to save my alocasia… it’s been in fluvial stratum but all the roots have rotted. Any ideas?? Should i leave it? Chop the leaf?

I normally would just put it in a container with some water

i would put that corn in a tiny 2in plastic pot full of perlite & keep it humid. that’s what i did with mine and it’s starting to sprout again.

I’m gonna try this method because straight water hasn’t seemed to work for me… thank you for the tip!!

i hope it works out! keep us updated! you’re welcome (: i’ve also done it in moss as well, but i feel safer with the perlite so nothing rots.

I keep mine in sphagnum moss in a glass container with a lil plastic lid to keep the humidity crazy high. It’s under a grow light too. I’ve had all four start to put out leaves in 2ish weeks with this method!

Mine are taking much longer than two weeks and I have them the same way you do in my ikea greenhouse cabinet, so light and humidity as well… I wonder why! Maybe they’re not close enough to the grow light? I’ve been growing some of mine about 3 weeks and just seeing tiny sprouts and roots but no leaves yet

When I pulled mine they were only an inch or so under the soil and slightly green already. And the leaves are still tiny shoots that are maybe an inch long. They are only a few inches from a grow light though!
