My alocacia zebrina finally died. I checked out the roots and they didn't look good. From the core I pulled out these kernels. What can I do with them? Will they grow? water? ? Plant in soil? Keep in water??

    Let them callous over, spray with low concentration of hydrogen peroxide. Then put them in a shallow dish of water (pointy side up if possible) and cover to increase humidity.

    I put them in a container of damp moss and leave them under the lights. Some of them may sprout and some may not.

    fluval stratum also works well - just make sure to gently peel off any of the brown and plant with the pointy side up!!! FYI these are called corms, and they are the more common way to propogate alocasias!
