Should I mist my alocasia?
Should I mist my alocasia?
i mist all my plants, alocasias included
1 j'aimeThank you!!
1 j'aimeIt’s a misconception, do not list your plants, can attract nats and mold. Use a humidifier if you need humidity. And use a neem and isopropyl alcohol, water mixture into a pray bottle if you want to treat and clean your leaves/plants.
1 j'aimeI have been too in addition to watering
1 j'aimeA big NO, misting can cause fungal/ bacterial infections. Most plants are ok with it but not alocasias. They like high humidity but not water sitting on its leaves. If you want to raise humidity levels try a humidifier or a pebble tray
3 J'aimeHeard! Thank you!!
0 J'aimeMisting won’t actually increase ambient humidity, so I wouldn’t recommend it
2 J'aimeDepends…what kind do you have?
0 J'aimeI mist all my plants with filtered water (am in a hard water area) and for alocasias I mist incredibly gently, and rely mostly on a humidifier
