My Alocasia Frydek new leaf is growing quickly! Other leaves are splaying outwards a bit but I guess it's ok?? 😜🤩🌱 Or, should I support the other leaves with a stake or something, or are they ok just reaching wherever they want to go?! 😎🤩🙌🏼
Totally fine for them to reach wherever they want to go! I’d only add a support if I felt like the leaves are in danger of snapping from dropping too much or if I just want it to look a certain way. If they all start reaching in one direction then it’s looking for more light, but otherwise nothing to worry about.

Hi Julie … certainly leave the plant to grow naturally, although turn the plant to either the sunlight or grow light to keep the Alocasia plant growth balanced 😀
2개 좋아요 So this is the same plant just now. The beautiful new leaf uncurled in three middle, but the leaf on the left is really really bent over, it looks so sad, but I guess it's ok right?
I get what you’re saying - this leaf particularly looks a tad sad … what has your watering regime been like ? Is the structure of the drooping stem as healthy & strong as the others ..? Maybe give a few weeks to determine if it’s going to pick up ? I have cut down weak stems to concentrate on more robust root growth in the past - sometimes it’s tough love ….🫤
좋아요 1개 It's a beautifully strong petiole to be honest. Not showing any signs of stress or decay.... Just 'droopy' I guess I'm just so used to plants that stand 'upright' !? 😅
