Hi all. I just saved this baby from my local supermarket. Any idea on how I can get it back to good health? The roots look good to me. Should I repot to something more airy?

    Heyoo! just got two from Home Depot and repotted into a chunkier mix for better drainage and aeration but kept some OG dirt to not send it into too much shock. Other option could be “propagating” with Fluval Stratum in a clear cup and maintaining the water filled up to where the furthest/deepest root can take a comfortable sip.

      Thank you. I might try this. The soil looks and feels way too dense

    Yes definitely change to a chunkier aroid soil mix. That is great to hear that the roots look healthy. Don’t panic if it looses all its leaves, alocasias are pretty good at bouncing back just from their tubers. It is part of their life cycle :)
