So I have this Alocasia Wentii (I think that’s what it is) but I’m having this issue of every time it put out a new leaf the old one will die off. I cannot for the life of me figure out why, can someone help? I have it quarantined rn just incase it has pest but it’s been a week and I have not seen anything. I’ve had it for about 6 months now and 3 of its leaves have died off. Please help.

Hello here are a few things that worked for me. Lighting is one of them and the most important and draining is next. Mines was doing the same thing. This spring. When I put it outside in my monestera plant I put the pot in it. Surprisingly it made a huge improvement.

Light does loook like an issue but also alocasias are heavy feeders. I would check and see if the fertilizer you’re using is strong enough/one meant for foliage. The soil looks a little close but as long as it’s not staying wet it’s probably okay.

Agree - light and fertiliser. I use Gold Leaf for all my tropicals and that works well. Before I used it, they grew but were stressed by growing.
