Am I supposed to put my dragon scale and my other one on a pole or trellis like the monsteras? The dragon scale especially doesn't really seem to grow too much although I'm reading the comments on the soil and I definitely think I only have potting soil in my plants for the most part so I'll be switching that out the spring 😩
Noo these guys don’t have aerial roots like monsteras, they can be attached to metal/plastic stakes but not a moss pole. You can also tie them together like in the attached photo. It could be that they are stretching towards the sun too much? That’s the only reason I can tell that would cause them to stretch. Also low humidity/draft.
Oh okay then maybe I'll just put the plastic monstera leaf clip on them then thank you so much
0 likes It's probably the light I need to get sheer curtains so I can open up the blinds more anytime the Sun hits the leaves they turn brown and die I definitely keep the humidity in the 60s or low '70s and mist often

No, Alocasia do not climb. You can get the spiral clips to keep them centered. But generally if mine are droopy, they need watered. Are you fertilizing at all? Alocasia are one that can and will go dormant. So if you arent feeding them and/or the light is lower. They won't produce a lot of growth
1 like Well I have a fertilized I think once so far this growing season I kind of go by the app for the fertilization should I be fertilizing them more this time of year?

0 likes Everything that's not a cactus or has some special fertilizing schedule. Like Trees, orchids, Carnivorous, etc
1 like That's what my plant lady said I should have done that all winter I was lucky my one hung on all winter with it's one leaf 😩

1 like I use this for now I know I need to get some more officials or something 10 10 10 my plant lady on marketplace that I get most of my plants from says she only uses Miracle-Gro 20-20-20 on everything that seems extreme but I don't know
The instant plantfood i use is 4-3-6 i think. So 4-5-5 should be fine. 20-20-20 would just depend on how you dilute it really. The highest i have is Max Sea 16-16-16 and i dilute it to like 1/4 strength for TC and carnivorous
