So i got a beautiful Alocasia Polly, and unexpectedly found ten corms when I repotted. In my panic, I went with the puddle method as it was the easiest to do with what I had and I’ve heard good things. Has anyone else used this method or another that they could give me advice on? It’s my first time getting corms so i’m excited and nervous! Mother plant is doing amazing and has a new leaf coming in too 🥰 TIA!
Water in a bottle cap or jar lid worked well for me. Did you scrape off any of the brown peel. They say that increases your chances of success
좋아요 1개 i did peel away the majority of the brown gently, left a little that didn’t seem to want to come off but for sure all of the tops are peeled

Thank you for this. I just brought my first Polly from BJ’s. And I have no idea what to do with the corms and the leaves are black I got the last plant so not sure what to do.
i have an alocasia frydek that started yellowing and browning and has lost a leaf, i ended up putting it in a greenhouse with about 70%-85% humidity as soon as i could, and it’s been doing better. from what i know its most likely shock, so i’ve been trying to give it better humidity. they’re dramatic plants for sure
