Need suggestions!! Should I chop and start over? My zebrina has been growing in the same spot for over a year. She was getting partial sun/shade and constantly pushing out new leaves. All of sudden, her leaves are curling upside down (like she’s getting too much light). Her stems are still very healthy and her roots look great. I have since moved her to a less sunny spot, but her leaves don’t seem to be turning back.

My zebrina looked like this when it needs water. The leaf tips would curl backwards like my philodendron Brasil when it was getting dry. The leaves will bend at the stem’s neck when it was too dry. I would check the soil’s moisture by removing the pot. Zebrina plants hate when the soil completely dries out. Check the roots for any anomalies. I would put it back in the spot that made it happy for a year. I don’t think it’s a light issue. Having less light can slow down the photosynthesis process.

I was curious about under watering and checked that first, but her soil is still moist. No other signs of lack of water (crispy tips or yellowing). But I will put it back in a sunny spot and see how things go in the coming months.

It’s the end of season. The sun angles change noticeably in fall. My plants were getting 4 hours of direct sunlight and afternoon bright shade. They are getting 3 hours of filtered sunlight and 6 feet deep into the shadows all afternoon on my northeast patio. Get a grow light if you can determine insufficient light is the issue.
