The one leaf left on my Alocasia Hilo died and while moving the body to the graveyard I found this.. so is the plant dormant or dead?

    Could be dormant. How does the bulb feel? Is it solid or soft?

      Sooo do I put it back in a pot? Sorry this is new to me..

      No problem! Do you have a sense of what made it go dormant? Unusually low temps or light levels maybe?

      It wasn’t in the best shape when it arrived..2 leaves, one of which was damaged. Luckily I left it on because a new leaf popped out. Then that one died off, and a few months later the other and the newest one a few weeks ago. Has been in an E window on the mantle then moved to a SE window on the floor.. so could be anything I guess
