Hi everyone! I have this beautiful Alocasia that my cat got into unfortunately :( there were three perfect leaves and she ate half of two of them, one of which has died and fallen off. The other is still on the plant but now the good leaf is turning brown, does anyone know what this could be? I did just start her in a hydroponic set up a few weeks ago, any advice?

I’ve never had luck with alocasias in leca, but it could just be the stress from the transfer. I’d just cut the bad leaves off and let the plant settle in and make new leaves after it adjusts to semi-hydro life. Also be aware that Alocasia are toxic/irritating to animals so make sure you keep it out of reach of your cat.

I have mine in soil and I dropped about 2 leaves after taking it home and a repot. I have mine with a humidifier and in the brightest window I have, no issues since 😅 you’ll usually see a little stress after repotting such a finicky plant
