I was wondering will this Dragon Scale survive? This my first time caring for an Alocasia and I accidentally watered it too much and then as I misted it both of the two leaves turned light green because it held the water in. Then the big one as shown here developed those small bumps. Then I thought hey maybe the Neem oil would help it, but unfortunately I STILL didn’t learn that the leaf (eves) could hold liquid and then they both got worse! I’ve already lost two leaves and while it got a “new bud” that one turned yellow and seemed to stop growing! Should I just give up on the plant or should I continue holding on to it seems to still be hang in there?

Overwatering plus the misting is deteriorating the plant. You should address both. Overwatering probably caused root rot. Excessive misting can block the normal transpiration process where the plant releases water vapors through the leaves. The overwatered plant couldn’t release water. I recommend letting the soil dry or replace the wet soil with dry soil. Remove rotten roots. Disinfectant the roots with hydrogen peroxide to kill bacteria. Also, stop misting and add a humidifier, if needed. Good luck 🍀🪴

Thank you. Also can the bulb of the the plant be saved to regrow again?

You have to check the condition of the bulb for rot. It should make it if there is no rot.

If it dies, I’ll DEFINITELY check it out. I REALLY hope it doesn’t die completely😭

i definitely with everything sunny is saying. if there is rot, treat with hydrogen peroxide and if that doesn’t work cut off the rotted part. also the leaf looks pretty unhealthy and it’d probably benefit the plant more to just cut it off at this point. i would try to rehab it in moss until it regrows another leaf. good luck!!

I’ll definitely take that in mind using hydrogen peroxide especially for the root in case the plant COMPLETELY dies. Right now it’s hanging by ONE leaf and the leaf is brown green. It would be a MIRACLE if a new leaf would sprout through that

I’m not sure if this was resolved, but they do go dormant and sometimes lose all the leaves. Try watering less, then after a few weeks or months show up the light and water to bring it out of dormancy
