Just brought this gorgeous Dragon Scale home. Still in the nursery pot, the nursery default soil is a mix of peat moss, pearlite and some compost. I am thinking of repotting in a couple of weeks in a chunkier mix, maybe self-watering pot. What is the set up your Dragon Scale loves? I have a small humidifier right next to it, the home is warm and it is getting plenty of light. I know they are total drama queens but I am in love with them.
no pressure to do what i do, it works for me and where i live (midwestern US). my alocasia is in a self watering pot with a water level indicator, under a grow light, and has a humidifier in the same room. i am starting to rotate her more frequently because i’ve noticed she’s more susceptible to burns under the grow light than my other plants. i used 1/2 regular potting soil with extra perlite and 1/2 orchid bark in the snug pot.

I have mine in regular pots with a chunky mix. The dragons currently occupy the greenhouse in the back bedroom, for the increased heat and humidity
