And so the suffering begins ✌️😔 I'm not sure what's wrong with it, the bigger leaf had started to droop slightly a few days ago, but I have heard a few people say younger alocasias tend to drop a leaf and gain a leaf so I wasn't too worried. Then I moved it from my bottom shelf to the top yesterday because the top shelf tended to have a higher humidity, and the smaller leaf started drooping and getting paler and more yellow. The soil was dry when I checked it so I watered it, but it still hasn't perked up. I know the light is closer on the top shelf so is it possible its just too much light for it?

    They face away from the light when it's too bright. It's also an alocasia so if you look at it wrong it's going to unalive itself. Jokes aside, they're VERY temperamental with changes in their environment. This includes both light and humidity. Stop moving it around and let it acclimate to its area. Don't ever let the roots dry out completely between waterings, it will cause root rot the next watering.

      I've heard they were very fickle, so I've been mentally prepared for this inevitable moment lol Thank you so much, I'll definitely leave it alone for now and see how it does.

      If all leaves drop off check and ensure the roots aren't rotted. If they are but the rhizome is still viable just remove the rot and restart
