I have an alocasia corm and would like to know what side I should plant it on and if I should take off the brown root that it wasn’t connected to its mother plant with. Thank You!

    I place them on their side and I would keep the brown root

    Brown root side into substrate, pointy side up. I recommend the puddle method in a covered plastic cup until it has a few leaves and good roots. Then plant into 50/50 stratum & perlite & once its a starter plant size into soil or semi hydro (leca, pon).

    Keep the corm on its side and put it in a warm place with light with a substrate of Perlite or just spaghnum moss or a mix of both for best results. It will take a while for it to root and sprout.
