Any idea why this newest leaf is yellowish/green? I’ve had this plant for several months and it seems generally happy and is even growing another leaf. The pot has drainage and I water when the soil is dry or mostly dry. Humidity is usually about 50-60%.

Alocasias lose a leaf when a new one grows in. They don’t like to get dry so maybe don’t let it get completely dry before u water. Mine sit on a pebble tray

Is it weird that it’s losing a new leaf as opposed to one of the older ones or is it more related to where the new leaf is coming in? Thank you!!

Yeah they usually do lose an older leaf 🤔

Do you fertilise? If not it could possibly be a nutrient factor

I use CleanKelp every time I water in the spring/summer, but that’s all.

My new alocasia leaves usually take 2-3 weeks (and sometimes over a month) to harden and are lighter green/more flexible until then. Definitely looks like that’s what’s happening, plant looks happy and healthy!
