I bought this Polly 2 weeks ago and have only watered it once. I let it drain for about 45 mins, and is in a well lit area. The substrate feels mostly like coco coir and it is still wet even though it’s been 9 days since watering. Can someone tell me what’s wrong with my plant baby?

Too Dense soil of not enough humidity I’d recommend a repot in a well draining airy soil. Bonus is you might find fsome Corms too

lol yes corms! You can google what to do with them to make baby plants. I highly recommend gloves if you repot it though. Alocasias corms have stuff that can cause severe skin irritation (I learned the hard way)

This looks like a fungus or something to me.

The brown spots with yellow rings around them make me think it’s a fungal/bacterial issue. Are you misting the plant?

I believe that’s what caused the problem. Many plants can handle misting but not alocasias, they like humidity but not wet leaves. It can cause a fungal infection. I recommend spraying it down with a fungicide and don’t mist it anymore. If you want to increase humidity try a pebble tray or humidifier.
