Got this Alocasia nebula a while ago(first pic)…now it looks like this (second pic) 💔. Internet says it may need nitrogen? Can anyone confirm or tell me how that even works? She has plenty of moisture but she dropped all of her leaves and gave me this little leaf and hasn’t put out a new one since. Is it because it’s winter?
Dang!!! I wish I could help you diagnose! There's something is doesn't like im sure. From my experience my alocasia can be a little fickle but when they have their needs met they are pretty resilient and aggressive actually but when there's one thing introduced incorrectly they will let you know lol. What kind of soil mix do you have? Very chunky and airy? They don't like close exposure to a heater or heat source and I don't think they like a draft either they prefer a very stable temperature and humidity over 50-60% ideally

*Make sure she not sitting in water *Water her when she is half way dry * I use a self watering pot * make sure she is in a chunky mix that gives her good airflow. * Lots of humidity, keep humidity levels between 60 and 80. If you have a humidifier put the plant next to it. If you don’t have a humidifier, put her in the bathroom with a grow light if you don’t have windows and she’ll get humidity from when you shower. * don’t let the temp in the room that she is in drop below 60 degrees. Their leaves will become mushy and she will go dormant. And if you don’t correct the temp she will just start dying. * if you’re worried about her dying, check her root system and see if she has any corms. Can you use those corms to grow another plant?
