Mille’s plants

Hi All I’m looking for advice on how to properly care for an Alocasia Jaclyn. I think I I got myself in too deep as a beginner lol. I got her a couple months ago repotted her and placed her a foot or more under grow lights. I ended up scorching the tips of her leaves and killing the youngest leaf that had just come in. I am so sad. Since then she seems stable but not doing much of anything. How can I get her to be happier?

She’s a beauty! I think you’ll be fine. African mask was my “first” plant (that got me into plants) and mine is still going although I have killed the mother entirely. Just make sure it gets light and is allowed to dry between watering

Thanks so much! Makes me feel better that I’m not the only one that has plant disasters 😂

I have my Alocasias between 200-300 FC of light, and that seemed to be the key for me. (My rescue/recovering Alocasias receive 450 FC, but they’re still in corm-form).

Oh this is great info to know! Mine were a bit higher and I turned the light down. I’m still learning lol
