This is the first alocasia I've ever purchased and I thought would stear me VERY clear of owning another. ( I have since gotten another) This "plant" has been my worst nightmare. Purchased from a grocery store, so pretty!! And SOAKED for days! Removed her from the pot, took forever to dry out some, leaves were going mushy, spotted, you name it. Just trouble all around. Almost tossed her a few times. FINALLY, after 9 months seems to be happy and giving me new growth. I am no plant guru, but a fanatic...and this just makes me so happy! I have not lost the battle!!
