Alas. My Mythic Sinuata has a serious issue. 😳 She was doing great. But I added a grow light, and I’m thinking I put it too close. In just two days I lost a leaf. I moved that grow light, but a couple of days later, lost another leaf. As I was checking the stem, the whole thing just kinda popped off in my hand. Then I thought maybe she had root rot. But no. The roots looked good. There were several (corms?). One as big around as my index fingernail, three or four more as big as a small pea. I stuck them all (along with the roots that were attached to them) into a pot with soil. Did I do the right thing? Or should they go into water to propagate? Any other suggestions!

I think if the corms already had their own roots, putting them into potting mix would have been my choice too. I’ve propped corms in water when they’ve not yet had their own roots

That’s really strange… nothing was mushy? Like the stem that broke off, none of the roots etc? For the corms I personally do moss. I soak the moss in water and then ring it out a bit and place in close container

Nope. I couldn’t see anything mushy. But maybe it was there and I missed it. Thanks for the info.

stems and leaves can also rot. also could have just been a weak stem 🤷‍♂️ if the corm of the mother plant looks all good, it'll just keep pushing out new leaves. if the baby corms have roots, potting soil is good, but moss is better. if no roots, water prop them first.
