The last of her roots just fell off. I decided to put her in perlite. Her base wasn’t totally mushy but there was some mushy parts that I scraped off. Any advice? Or do I need to let her go?

Sounds like you are doing everything right. She might lose her leaves but if roots start to grow eventually new leaves will grow.

did you let it dry out a day or two after disinfecting by soaking it into 3 parts water to 1 part peroxide.. before planting it into perlite

I’ll let her sit in peroxide mix with water. I patted her dry and then I stuck her in perlite. I didn’t know that I was supposed to let her dry out for a day. Lol.

To be honest I’d recommend using fluval stratum to regrow the roots. Is it in a cabinet with high humidity and grow light or anything?

I’m currently trying this method. I decided to put 2 cups together and soldered holes of the top!! I’m really hoping this works because this is my first alocasia!!

It has. Grow light on it sometimes and I have a humidifier that points at it. But it’s not looking too good. I think I need to throw her away.

I’d peroxide it and let the corm dry for a day or two then put it in water. Sounds like the opposite of what you should do but I’ve rerooted lots of alocasia in water like that. They develop new roots quickly in my experience. Although with so many leaves you might lose a few of bottom ones.

I might try that I had her in perlite but it continued to make her mushy. I’ve had her sitting out to dry for about 9 hrs

If she is mushy then leave it to dry properly. I have all my alocasia in semi hydro these days apart from the big maccrorhiza which don’t seem to like it and prefer a very chunky organic mix. You could also try just going straight to SH as that’s worked for me also. Don’t worry about it drying out too much though as the corm should still survive in a dormant state if it’s not rotted too much. In that case you’d just be restarting it like spring bulb.
