I have a beautiful black velvet Alocasia that I bought on Nov 6. I repotted it a few days later. It’s doing ok - growing a new leaf and getting taller, although it has a curling leaf and a bit of browning on one leaf (I’ve got humidity problems). However, now I want to put it in leca. Is it better to do it asap since the plant is already in a stress period, or wait several months to give it a break? Thanks in advance!

Super cute! If it were me, I’d wait. Alocasia’s are prone to stress after repotting. That’s probably why the leaves are drooping. Repotting again and in a new medium could stress it out. I’d wait until spring to move it to lecca. They can ask so go dormant in winter and drop leaves. Good luck 🍀

Hi! Im new to the Alcoasia What is the best soil mix i can use for mine? Soil i have doesn’t seem to be the best (it holds water way to long and The soil becomes like a hard muddy problem that Doesn’t stay on the sides of the pot) so It how now lost 2 leaves. One is currently yellowing. It was a Baby one though

Mine like Mollys Mix. You can also mix your own. You can buy it on amazon or direct from the manufacturer
