Hi! Wondering if I should be trimming the brown/dead/old leaves off of my Alocasia? They’re also very wet, I thought it was for overwatering but I’ve refrained and they’re still very wet. Also also, anyone know what kind of Alocasia this is?

Alocasias will kill off their older/dying leaves when a new leaf pops out so yes, you can trim the dying leaves to speed up the process. Alocasias need little water when it’s cold so depending on where you live, water accordingly :) Besides that, it looks as thought you’ve got a healthy, maturing plant so congrats!

don’t cut them off til they’re dried out all the way .. the rest of the plant is using its nutrients to survive You haven’t been feeding it huh
