Anyone else here a fan of the tiny dancer alocasia? I picked this lil guy up yesterday, owner said he had been sitting in the store for 2 months waiting for a new home. I LOVE HIM. His name is Elton John. 🌿

    Perfect name! I had an alocasia flying squid briefly. I previously thought the tiny dancer was the smallest alocasia! Sadly my squid had a death plug I didn’t know about and died 😭 Friendly reminder to check your plant baby 💚

      I am so paranoid about those. I recently got a croton and when I checked the soil I found one, my heart stopped. Luckily it was a mesh plug and the roots had grown through it!

      They’re so evil. I used to only find them at big box stores but there’s a local greenhouse supplier that’s started using them too so now I even find them at the plant stores 😠 The plastic ones are the worst for getting off of thick roots. The cloth ones are a death sentence for delicate root plants 😮‍💨

      I’m so lucky then but also I try to stay away from big box. All we have is Walmart where I’m at
