My Polly is giving me an inflo! She is my first alocasia and I can not count how many times I almost gave up and tossed her! We have finally agreed on how to live together and she is one of my faves. I know alot of you cut them, but I let nature do it's thing. If she wants to flower,...flower. I love it!
I personally let it be and chop it once it’s over. Because yes it spends energy on it but it also does reabsorb it. Good job 💚
좋아요 1개 I started my plant obsession a little over a year ago, no experience to speak of. My Scalprum bloomed 2x over the summer and stayed strong. It was a home depot rescue and had really just started looking healthy so I hesitated. But by the time I realized what was going on with her, info I had found suggested leaving it be until it was wilted. To this day has flourished so I have no regrets. I figured with the rough begining Polly and I have had, I may as well let her do her thing. I pat myself on the back for the healthy girl she's become. You can also see in the pic a couple corms that grew from her as well. 3 total in her pot, plus 3 others I've gifted.
